Chicago Bears Debut In The Bottom Half Of Week 1 Rankings

Well, the NFL season is upon us. On Thursday, the Tom Brady (surprise!) and the New England Patriots will start their defense of last year’s Super Bowl title.

Deflategate dominated the headlines all offseason, distracting us from some other occurrences that should have gotten more attention.

Now that Deflategate is in the back burner (for now), we can focus our attention to a new NFL season at hand.

With a new season comes a new power ranking. This ranking is a snapshot of the season at a particular week. A team may be a Super Bowl contender, but they won’t necessarily be at the top if they struggle at any particular week.

Of course, this being Da Windy City, our concern are the Chicago Bears.

The Bears were a dysfunctional group last season, and John Fox was brought in to change all that. There is a new system on both offense and defense, new players and respected coaches now in charge. There are still many questions that need to be answered, however, and those can only be answered once the opening kickoff takes place and the season gets going.

Here is the power rankings list for Week 1:
