November 20 vs. Golden State Warriors
There were only two teams that beat the eventual NBA champions on their home court. One of those teams was the Chicago Bulls.
Everyone says that the best teams are in the Western Conference, and that the Eastern Conference is really weak.
The Bulls played the Western Conference teams well. They had a 17-13 record against those teams, beating some of the top teams in the conference.
This will be a test of how far along the Bulls are early on. Hoiberg is known as an offensive-minded coach, and the Warriors are the best offensive team in the NBA. It may be early, but a lot of teams do well after passing early tests.
This will be another battle for Rose. There are some very good point guards in the league today, and Rose will be put to the test. He exhibited some of his great play last season, but he was very inconsistent.
With his last surgery, Rose does not have the meniscus that caused him trouble the last two seasons. He should be on his way to being a very good player again. Not many expect the MVP-type Rose, but Rose may be expecting just that.
A battle with reigning MVP Stephen Curry will provide an early barometer of how far along Rose is. Of course, he did hit the game-winner in Oakland last season, so he did have some success last season.
