Jay Cutler: Ghosts Of Chicago Bears’ Offensive Coordinators’ Past
Ron Turner was the first offensive coordinator that Cutler worked with while with the Bears. The marriage between Turner and Cutler was not that much longer than the marriage between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries.

With it being 2015, we can now look back at the 2009 season and confess that Cutler was not in a position to succeed in his first year with the Bears.
To repeat something that had been said by the late Bears’ legend Doug Buffone, Cutler was the new car for the Bears in 2009 but there was no one to drive it.
The wide receivers that recorded at least one reception during Cutler’s first season with the Bears were Earl Bennett, Johnny Knox, Devin Aromashodu, and Devin Hester.
Bennett, Aromashodu, and Knox are currently out of the NFL and Hester was out of his comfort zone in trying to be a starting wide receiver in the NFL.
That would be why it should come as no surprise that Cutler’s QBR under Turner was 47.56. Beyond the QBR, Cutler also had an interception percentage of 4.7 percent in 2009–a mark that serves as a career high for the Bears’ quarterback.
Cutler’s struggles in 2009 led to Turner being fired after the season and then Bears’ head coach Lovie Smith turning to Mike Martz.
