Rookie wide receivers have made an instant impact in the NFL over the course of recent seasons and the Bears are hoping the same holds true for their rookie wide receiver Kevin White.
After seeing the success of rookie wide receivers over the course of recent seasons in the NFL, the Bears grabbed one of their own when they selected Kevin White with the seventh overall selection in the 2015 NFL Draft.
The Bears are hoping that White can have instant impact during his rookie season. The expectation is that White will be starting on the opposite side of Alshon Jeffery this season. Though, there has been some concern that White may be behind schedule as the rookie wide receiver missed a large portion of the Bears’ OTAs this off-season.
White is expected to be ready for the Bears’ first practice of training camp on Thursday.
White represents the perfect combination of size and speed that figure to make him an elite wide receiver at some point in the NFL. The only thing that may hold White back in his first season with the Bears is the fact that he may be behind schedule after missing OTAs this off-season. If White is ready to go on Thursday, then there shouldn’t be any concern over White not being prepared by the time the season starts in September.
If Healthy and prepared, White could be a sleeper candidate at the wide receiver position for fantasy owners this season.
