The 2014 season was a nightmare for the Chicago Bears. The 2014 season was a season that ignited change within the Bears’ front office and coaching staff. With the start of training camp for the 2015 season coming next week, the time has come to look back on the 2014 season for the Bears.

The 2014 season was an important season for the Chicago Bears.

In more ways than one, the 2014 season was a wake up call for the Bears.

The Bears entered the 2014 season with the expectation of not only contending in the NFC North division but contending to be the NFC representative in the Super Bowl. The Bears fell considerably short of those expectations as the team finished the 2014 season with a record of 5-11 and in last place in the NFC North division.

Beyond losing on the field, the Bears’ locker room also became fractured as the 2014 season dragged on.

There were several instances last season where reports had Bears’ players calling on another out after a loss. Most notably, Bears’ wide receiver Brandon Marshall was believed to be in a shouting match with kicker Robbie Gould and quarterback Jay Cutler after a Week 7 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

The post-game theatrics after the Bears’ loss to the Dolphins was only one scene of the team’s horror show last season. Lets take a look back at the 2014 season.
