Round 1, Pick 7
Jordan — Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
Carlos — DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville
Dhruv — Kevin White, WR, West Virginia
The three of us go with a replacement for Brandon Marshall. Say what you will about him, he was productive on the field. Even during an injury-shortened season, he was still getting yards and touchdowns. Without him on the offense, things could bog down.
Yes, there are some very good receivers in this draft, but the consensus is that these three guys are the top three receivers in this class, and they will be special.
Jordan: “Many want to throw a shade at Cooper because of the fact that the wide receiver class in the 2015 NFL Draft is so deep. That is misguided… There is no question that Cooper is the best wide receiver in the draft. Considering the questions the Bears have at the wide receiver position, Cooper is the easy selection here.”
Carlos: “The more I see film on Parker, the more I am impressed with his abilities. Cooper and Kevin White are also good choices, but I think there will be some deals made and there may be a chance that neither one will be available. Getting the third wide receiver may be a stroke of luck for the Bears.”
Dhruv: “He has more upside, though Cooper is a more polished, complete receiver. I think Cooper goes earlier, though, so White is the best player available. If both players are available, I think Pace takes Cooper.”
