Javorius Allen, 6-foot-0, 221 pounds, Southern California

Javorius Allen was an All Pac-10 first team selection in 2014 after rushing for 1,489 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns, and 458 passing yards and another touchdown.

Allen is a workhorse-type runner, with a thick body and an aggressive running style. He is patient enough to allow holes to develop and when they do, he has the quickness to hit them fast.

Allen is a slasher who runs with a good lean. Has good leg power so that when he is hit, he can gain more yards. He has soft hands to catch passes out of the backfield, which would be helpful with the Bears.

The Trojans head coach, Steve Sarkisian, used a pro style offense, so Allen won’t need an introduction to that. He will be able to step right in and contribute.

Allen will need work on his balance. He has a tendency to swing his arms to keep his balance, and he sometimes swings the ball as well.

Allen will be able to help an offense take over late in games with his running.

Allen is projected to go anywhere from the third to the fifth round, so with his size and power, he could be a value pick for the Bears.
