Tony Lippett, Michigan State

Lippett has the ability to make big catches. He can jump up in traffic and have the concentration to pluck the ball out of the air and make a big play. He has a high catch radius and he uses every bit of it. Think of the catches Alshon Jeffery makes.

Like DeVante Parker, Lippett has some great footwork that allows him to separate from defenders. He has strong hands and his stiff arm is one of the best around.

At 6-foot-2, Lippett has the height, but at 192 pounds he will need to bulk up a bit.

In 2014, Lippett had 65 catches for 1,198 and 11 touchdowns. He had an 18.4 yards per catch average.

What makes Lippett intriguing is that he is a two-way player. At Michigan State, Lippett played cornerback in addition to wide receiver. In the Cotton Bowl, he had the hit of the year when Michigan State blocked a field goal attempt. As R.J. Williamson got to the ball and took off, the Baylor kicker went straight to him to get the tackle. Problem was he didn’t see Lippett, who completely obliterated him with a huge hit.

Since corner is also a potential area of need for the Bears, he could be a great help for them, even if it does not work out at wide receiver.

Again, all this comes with one trade. The Bears put themselves into this situation just so they can send a message. Hopefully the Bears have a plan that includes any combination of these players. There are a lot of interesting prospects at receiver, so the Bears need to find a good one who can help regain the hope of fans who were against the Marshall trade.
