The Bulls stand pat at the Trade Deadline, but…
In one of the more insane NBA Trade Deadline days, one team’s name you hardly heard: Chicago Bulls.
While other teams broke the internet with last-second trades, the Bulls remained quiet and stuck with what they had before the break.
But, in an interesting (and rather questionable) twist, the great Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports sent this out:
(Optimistic thought: “OK, Perk knows Thibs. Played in Thibs’ defensive system in Boston and won a ring. I can see the connection.”)
But, let’s be honest, what can Kendrick Perkins really offer an NBA team nowadays?
Perkins was a part of the deal that sent guard Reggie Jackson from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Central Division and the Detroit Pistons. The Utah Jazz acquired Perkins after sending Enes Kanter to OKC, then planned on buying out the remaining $7.1 million on the final year of Perkins’ contract.
The last update in the Perkins sweepstakes came from TNT’s David Aldridge:
