Cody Prewitt (6-foot-2, 212 pounds), Ole Miss
Cody Prewitt has the long limbs and a good body to play in the NFL. He is a better athlete than he appears. He takes good angles in pursuit. He can read plays well, and has the instincts to sniff out fakes and recognize play designs.

Prewitt is an aggressive defender who attacks the line of scrimmage. He has the proper break down technique to make tackles. Has good timing and is physical enough to separate the ball from the carrier. He has five career forced fumbles. He also has 12 career interceptions, showing he has a nose for the ball.
Prewitt can be a leader on the field and in the locker room. He is not afraid of getting into teammates’ faces when they mess up, and he also gets on them to praise them or coach them up. That would help the Bears, who sorely lack leadership. Made 41 starts and is a two-time All-SEC team member.
Sometimes Prewitt can get too aggressive. At times he has too much body movement which slows him down. Needs to improve his backfield vision and shed technique.
Playing and succeeding in the SEC, Prewitt could be a good pickup for the Bears. He is projected to go anywhere between the second to fourth round so the combine will be important for him.
