Chicago Bears Free Agency: Top 5 Players They Should Pursue

Terrance Knighton, DT
Knighton played a key role in the Denver Broncos’ success against the run. He had 30 tackles and 2 sacks, but what the stats do not show is how disruptive he was to the opposition. He can take on multiple blockers, and he can move his man back into the backfield.
The Broncos have some key players who are free agents, especially on offense. They want to keep Peyton Manning‘s weapons intact, so someone will have to be sacrificed. That someone looks to be Knighton.
There are reports that Knighton would like to be reunited with Oakland coach Jack Del Rio. The Raiders, however, have a younger and cheaper version than Knighton in Justin Ellis, and even if they do look for another defensive tackle, they may decide to go in on Ndamukong Suh. They have plenty of room in the salary cap, so they may go that way.
The Bears will need help at defensive tackle. Will they decide to stay with Jeremiah Ratliff, an older player with recent history of injuries, or go with Stephen Paea, who had a good 2014 season, but he could never put together an injury-free season until 2014, his contract year.
The Bears will wait to see how the market for defensive tackles shapes before deciding. The one player they should take a look at is Terrance Knighton.
