Can Alshon Jeffery repeat his performance of last year?

Last season, Jeffery had a breakout game. He caught 10 passes for 218 yards and a touchdown.

The Saints did not forget that performance.

Jeffery has been inconsistent this season, though that could be the result of Cutler’s struggles. With Brandon Marshall out for the season, Cutler and the Bears will look to Jeffery more.

Look for the Saints to double Jeffery, daring Cutler to beat them with Marquess Wilson and Martellus Bennett. Again, this is where the Bears height should be used to take advantage of the Saints’ secondary. If Cutler gets the ball up, so the receivers jump for it, they will have a better chance to come down with the catch.

There have been some times this season where Trestman has moved Jeffery around, especially in the red zone. He had some fake reverses, and had him go in motion in one direction then have him go the opposite direction, that have been successful. For some reason, Trestman has gone away from that. Moving Jeffery around is key, because he can use his quickness to beat the defender. The Bears have to get back to that.
