The Bears need to take advantage of the weather.

Temperatures are expected to be in the low to middle thirties on Thursday night. With Soldier Field being by the lake, expect the temperature to be even lower there.

Last season, the Bears faced the Cowboys in an ice box. It was frigid on the field, and extremely windy as well. The Cowboys looked like they had absolutely no intention of playing the game seriously. Bryant and company preferred to stay on the bench with the heaters than go onto the field and freeze.

The Bears took advantage of that, and they blew out the Cowboys. Marshall and some of the other offensive players went onto the field sleeveless, and psychologically handled the weather better.

It may not be the same this time around, but the Bears need to do that once again. A cold field can slow Murray down, and hitting him nice and hard can slow him even more.

I am not saying the Bears will win because of the weather, but it is an advantage over a team from Texas that is not used to the cold weather of Chicago. Whatever it takes to win I say.

It will be interesting to see how much emotion the Bears show on Thursday. They haven’t shown much of it during the season, but now that jobs may be on the line, the play may get better.
