Bears front four need to pressure Tony Romo

The Cowboys have a potent offense. Dez Bryant is one of the best wide receivers in the league, and DeMarco Murray leads the league in rushing yards. The Cowboys are third in the league in both rushing and passing yards per attempt.

That being said, they are a different team when pressured.

When the Cowboys played Washington on October 27th, Romo was blitzed… a lot. He was under constant pressure, and at one point, he injured his surgically repaired back again.

As well as Murray runs, he does not block very well. The Cowboys did not have that extra blocker who could help Romo. Washington had five sacks, and they were in Romo’s face all night in their 20-17 victory.

Washington appeared to come up with a blueprint on how to get to the Cowboys. The same thing happened in games against the Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles.

The added pressure forces Romo to make quick decisions, and that is where he gets into deep trouble, much like Jay Cutler. The more Romo throws and the more he makes quick decisions, the better the chances of a Bears’ victory.
