The secondary has to keep Johnson and Tate under control.

Calvin Johnson has not had his typical sensational season. He has been hampered by ankle problems, forcing him to miss three games. For the season, he has just 38 receptions for 578 yards and only 3 touchdowns.

The one thing Johnson has going for him is that he is still Calvin Johnson. He can still very easily go out and have 10 catches for 150 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The Bears have to avoid that. If the pass rush is doing its job, Stafford will be throwing before he has to. The secondary has to be alert for turnover opportunities.

Kyle Fuller will have the main job of covering Johnson. He has had his injury troubles himself, and he hurt his knee last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The injury doesn’t appear to be serious, but you never know until it’s time to go.

It is crucial for every player to know exactly where he is supposed to be on a play. There can be none of those plays where three players are playing three different schemes like what happened against the Green Bay Packers.

Even if Johnson is having a tough game, the Bears have to watch out for Golden Tate as well. He has been great playing alongside Johnson, and came through in his absence. He has 72 receptions for 1,047 yards. He also has just 3 touchdowns, however.

The Bears need to keep those receivers out of the end zone for a third consecutive week.
