Well, the time is here. The occasion that many were looking forward to seeing. Week 12 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers come into Soldier Field. The big story, however, is Bucs coach Lovie Smith coming back to Chicago after being fired at the end of the 2012 season.
Of course, many want to push that story, seeing as how the Bears are struggling right now under his replacement, Marc Trestman. Many players and fans loved Lovie, and are still upset he got fired after a 10-6 season.
The Bears have to turn all that off on Sunday, and work to salvage what little there is left to the season. No, a playoff berth now is out of the question, but if they can win this game, it will be two in a row, and they can at least gain some momentum and end this miserable season on a high note.
Let’s go over some areas the Bears need to do well so they can send Lovie Smith and the Bucs back to Tampa with their ninth loss.
