Ottawa Senator’s Goalie Craig Anderson, but a former Blackhawks’ Goalie? Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Craig Anderson is best-known for his remarkable 2010 playoffs, when he almost led the obviously over-matched Colorado Avalanche to a first-round upset of the no.1 seeded Sharks. He played very well for the team in that playoff series, but was eventually traded to the Ottawa Senators. He also spent a bit of time with the Florida Panthers, but he didn’t start his career there. Could he have started his career with the Hawks?

Yes, Michael Leighton does technically play for the team now, but is this his first run with the team, or has he played for the Hawks before? Known for being taken advantage of by the Hawks in the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals with the Flyers, Leighton has been to quite a few teams in his journeyman career.

Manny Legace is one of those goalies that seems to have been everywhere. Legace played for four teams in his career, most notably for the Red Wings, where he competed for starting spots next to Curtis Joseph and Dominik Hasek. Let’s appreciate the fact that he was starting games next to those two. He went to three other NHL franchises before retiring.

Final option, Sebastien Caron. Caron had only one season where he was considered the top goalie, and it was a mess. Caron was the goalie for the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2003-04, when they finished dead last in the NHL, one point worse than the Hawks. If they would’ve been just a game better, the Hawks probably would’ve taken Evgeni Malkin with the no.2 overall pick instead of the person they took at three, Cam Barker. Ouch. Let’s just answer the question and move on after that fact.
