The Chicago Bears will make CBS Sports’ so-called experts eat their words.

I was looking around at the different experts’ picks, seeing how the Bears are looked at outside of Chicago. I found a couple of interesting picks at CBSSports.com.

Pat Kirwan predicted the Bears to go 8-8 and out of the playoffs. He did say he may have undervalued them, but he does not trust the defense.

Pete Prisco’s prediction was even worse. He has the Bears finishing with a 7-8-1 record. Yes, he has the Chicago Bears with a LOSING RECORD. He also has them playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a tie. In his “expert” opinion, there will be a tie in Week 12 just like last year. Will Week 12 become the week of the tie now?

I do not feel the Bears will go undefeated and blow through the playoffs. Not even the blindest fan can claim that. They are improved from last year, however.

The Chicago Bears will go 10-6 and end their three year playoff drought. They will get a Wild Card berth, and will even win a playoff game. Further than that I am not sure. The way the schedule has them with five of their final seven games at home, they can get some momentum going and use it in the playoffs.

This will be an interesting season for the Chicago Bears and fans will have a lot to cheer for in 2014.
