Chicago Bears Fantasy Football Rankings: Too High or Too Low?

Want to have some free, legal fun? Go to a bar and tell everyone your opinion of Jay Cutler. Then watch what happens. People will be at each other’s throats, talking about how his arm power is elite and his decision making is shaky. Cutler inspires both hope and fear into an entire fanbase. Some fans love him, some hate him, there’s no middle ground. Honestly, I can’t get enough of the guy, and I think he very well could be on pace for an MVP season as Marshall said earlier in the week. He’s going to lead an offense full of playmakes, and he himself is one of them.
Where does that put him in fantasy? That’s a good question. While I, as a huge Cutler fan, think he has the potential for a top-5 season in fantasy, I wouldn’t put him that high, or anywhere near that high, in projections. He’s rated as the 13th QB, making him a great back-up and a very good second QB option in a two-QB league. But could he be a starter in a 10-team league?
I’d say yes, he could be. I wouldn’t put my team on his back, but if he is my starter, I’m thinking I can get a good amount of points from him on a weekly basis. He might have his three interception game that he seems to get way too often, but all in all I like his chances this season.

Verdict: Too Low
I’ll say until I’m blue in the face, but this offense is going to be explosive and dominant this season. If I were a betting man, I’d put money on the Bears having the top offense in the NFL this season. Better than the Packers. Better than the Broncos. Better than the Eagles. Get this man a starting job on your fantasy team, I swear you won’t regret the decision but for one or two weeks during the season.
