Tight End: Martellus Bennett

Standard: 115th Overall, 12th Tight End

PPR: 116th Overall, 12th Tight End

The case of Black Unicorn. I’d say he was projected too low about a week ago. Now I’m not so sure.

After his run-in with rookie Kyle Fuller in practice, Bennett may be in Trestman’s dog house. Maybe no more plays designed to let the athletic freak, pictured above leaping over a corner back, get the ball in the red zone. Maybe no more plays to let him work magic in open space. Maybe less playing time in general.

Overall, I don’t think the run-in will hurt Bennett enough to place him lower than 12th. I see him as a top 10 fantasy football TE, before and after the altercation.

Notable Players Rated Higher: Kyle Rudolph MIN, Dennis Pitta BAL, Zach Ertz (Standard) PHI

Notable Players Rated Lower: Zach Ertz (PPR) PHI, Delanie Walker TEN, Heath Miller (Pictured) PIT

Verdict: Too Low

This is going to be an explosive offense, and Bennett is going to get plenty of opportunities on second and third downs to pick up yards for the team. With Ertz sharing tight end snaps with Brent Celek and Pitta coming off a major injury in a regressing offense, Bennett is a better option than both.
