Wide Receiver no.2: Alshon Jeffery

Standard: 22nd Overall, 8th Wide Receiver

PPR: 22nd Overall, 9th Wide Receiver

Jeffery really stepped up last season. In his second-year out of South Carolina, Jeffery became Josh McCown‘s favorite target and twice set the franchise record for receiving yards in a game, ironically both in losses. After Cutler re-took the reigns, Jeffery continued to be a major part of the offense, but anyone who thinks he will outplay Marshall this season is wrong.

We all know that Cutler will look to Marshall first, and Jeffery’s stats will reflect that. While his skill is only beginning to blossom, I don’t see his stats improving this season, and if they do, so will Marshall’s.

Notable Players Rated Higher: Brandon Marshall CHI, Jordy Nelson GB, Antonio Brown (PPR) PIT

Notable Players Rated Lower: Antonio Brown (Standard) PIT, Keenan Allen SD, Vincent Jackson (Pictured) TB

Verdict: Too High

Jeffery is a name I’d love to get, but only after the third round. If he puts up the numbers he did last season, I’ll put him in the too low category next season. But for now, I’m assuming a slight drop in stats, and that puts him under guys like Brown, Allen and Jackson.
