Secondary

  1. Tim Jennings, Left-Side Cornerback
  2. Charles Tillman, Right-Side Cornerback
  3. Kyle Fuller, Nickle Back
  4. Ryan Mundy, Strong Safety
  5. Brock Vereen, Free Safety

Behind the defensive line, the Bears’ secondary is the most important unit on the Bears’ defense.

The one position that needs to be improved the most is the safety position.

Mundy has typically been working with the first team defense, while Vereen was replaced this past week. Mundy appears to have the strong safety spot locked up with the competition being at the free safety spot.

Danny McCray and Adrian Wilson appear to be the two main competitors for Vereen’s starting spot.

As for the cornerback position, the Bears finally have depth at the position. Fuller and Kelvin Hayden figure to offer a sense of security at the cornerback position that the team did not have last season.
