Linebackers

  1. Lance Briggs, Weak Side Linebacker
  2. D.J. Williams/Jonathan Bostic, Middle Linebacker
  3. Shea McClellin, Strong Side Linebacker

One thing that the Bears’ depth chart did do is provide clarity at the linebacker position.

At middle linebacker, it appears that the starter will either be Williams or Bostic. Williams was signed last season to be the replacement to Brian Urlacher, though, injuries forced Bostic into the spotlight.

McClellin has the early advantage at the Strong Side linebacker spot. McClellin is finally playing his natural position. McClellin faltered as a defensive end and that led to the change to linebacker. McClellin likely will be given every opportunity to succeed as linebacker this season.
