November 26th: A thorn named Varlamov in the Hawks’ side

One team the Blackhawks haven’t quite been able to figure out in the last few seasons is the young, upstart Colorado Avalanche.

The big reason why: Avs goaltender Semyon Varlamov.

In four starts against the Hawks last season, Varlamov was 4-0-0 with a 1.59 goals against average. Varlamov faced 175 shots on net and stopped 168 of them.
