Dis-Honorable Mention: Marc Colombo, no.29 2002

Marc Colombo is probably as happy as he is in the picture above because he didn’t make the main list. Colombo is actually a sad story, as he was never able to truly prove his worth for the Bears after being taken 29th overall in 2002, the year after the 2001 team won the Central Division for the final time. From what he showed with the team, as well as the Dallas Cowboys, he had the ability to be a good player.

I chose not to put him on the main list due to his lack of hype and injuries. Although being injured does make you a bust, under-performing is more disappointing for a draft pick than injuries. Overall injuries are more disappointing, but knowing that your team just took the wrong person is more rough on a fan.

Colombo has retired from the NFL, but he might have played longer had he not gained so many injuries.
