156th overall-Jared Abbrederis-Wisconsin- Abbrederis is a sure handed, intelligent, possession receiver with good route running ability. His biggest asset is probably his brain. He’s also very quick, and has decent long speed with a 4.5 flat. He does not have great leaping ability with a Vertical under 30″ so he won’t be a go up and get it guy. He also needs to get in the weight room and develop strength. That will help as his career seems destined to be as a guy who will live and die in finding soft spots in zones, and running the short quick intermediate routes, and will take a pounding.
Overall pick-Jeff Janis-Saginaw Valley State- Small school unknown who tested off the charts. Size/speed prospect with leaping ability and quickness. Had the best time in the 3 cone drill and was fourth in the 20 yard shuttle to go along with a 4.42 40. Very strong with 20 reps on the press. Should help him shake press, and add to his skill set as a blocker. He also has all the football intangibles to go along with it. Work ethic, intelligence, leadership. His only question is how will he do against the top level competition in the NFL.
