The Bears definitely could use help at CB given the age of their two starters, and their mileage. They do have some pretty interesting developmental guys coming off their practice squad in Demontre Hurst, and C.J. Wilson. While both are intriguing prospects, and played very well in pre-season and did well in Camp last season they are far from locks for anything. They’ll have to compete just to even make it back to practice squad this year. They certainly won’t prevent the Bears drafting anyone. They also love Isaiah Frey, and why not? He has all the traits to start on the outside in the NFL. Their veteran situation is solid though. The aforementioned Frey played an excellent slot CB, and exhibits the ability to play as a hybrid type as he is very physical in run support and looks like he can blitz. They have Kelvin Hayden who will compete for the starting nickle with Frey most likely. Than of course you have Tim Jennings coming off another fabulous season, and Charles Tillman coming off season ending tricep surgery who could arguably be the best starting CB tandem in all of football. Both are aging and in the case of Tillman showing some signs of physically breaking down with injury woes the past two seasons. Getting a CB is not an absolute must -for this season anyway- but would not be a bad idea.
