Best Value For Bears In Every Round By Position: Offensive Tackle

I highly doubt the Bears draft a tackle high in the draft, but lower rounds can offer some intriguing developmental projects. However if the Bears do have some foresight, and decide to really kick their offense into a different stratosphere by drafting a top of the line OT, and moving Long to the other tackle spot while moving Bushrod inside at guard, and installing De la Puente at center over Garza could possibly make this offensive line so dynamic it may rival the very best offenses of the past, and perhaps even surpass them all. Of course this would take a lot of nerve to change the look of a line that was very much improved, and would likely get a lot of scrutiny from the media, and a good portion of the fan-base who tend to fall in love with players way too easily. It’s also the popular opinion that defense is the only way to go after a disastrous season last year. Moves like that would certainly receive immense opposition and criticism, but the pay off could prove fruitful.
