191st overall-Cornelius Lucas-Kansas State- Lucas is a tall long limbed tackle who has a lot of potential, but needs to get stronger, and get better bend to win leverage battles. At 6’8″ he naturally loses that battle with every lineman he goes against, and needs to be especially conscious of his knee bend. His length offers an advantage to keep defenders off of him, and should serve him well in recovery situations in pass blocking.
Alternate pick-Kevin Pamphile-Purdue- Pamphile is another developmental project worthy of a flier here, because of his raw athleticism. He ran his 40 under 5 seconds, and had a very good 10 yard split. Played basketball most his life and only began playing football in his senior year in high school where he started off as a defensive tackle. Extremely good athlete with size and length who should thrive in a zone blocking scheme.
