14th overall-CJ Mosely-Alabama- When the Bears first pick is up they will have a very difficult choice to make with many top notch prospects on the board at need positions. One of those prospects will be CJ Mosely former middle linebacker for the Crimson Tide. He can play every LB position which adds to his value, but figures to be a career MLB at the next level. It helps he was groomed under defensive guru Nick Saban. With his intelligence, high character, instincts, and tremendous speed and quickness he has future hall of famer written all over him, and could add to the deep group of MLB’s in Bears history. Only question is durability otherwise about as sure of a thing as this draft has.

Alternate pick-Ryan Shazier-Ohio State- Many would say this would be a reach this high, and maybe they’d be right, but I have no doubt in my mind Shazier would be a dominant linebacker at the next level. It may not happen immediately, but once he does get it look out. An impressive athlete with speed to burn. Shazier probably projects best as a WILL backer with his size, but might be a fit as a 3-4 ILB.
