82nd overall-AJ McCarron-Alabama- Excellent value pick in the 3rd. McCarron has experience in a pro style offense and can run through progressions. He’s smart and competitive, as well as a team leader. Big game experience should have him ready for action from day one as a back up.

Alternate pick-Logan Thomas-Virginia Tech- A lot of people would disagree with him this high, but this is for the Bears, and it’s raw physical monsters like Thomas you got Trestman for. At this point the Bears need to use Trestman as much for developing trade-able assets as they do to lead the Bears to the superbowl. Thomas came in as a TE and you can tell. Just a mammoth man, with incredible athletic ability and speed, and a rocket that might even rival Jay Cutlers.
