51st overall- Troy Niklas– Notre Dame- Niklas is an all around tight end who would just as soon pancake a would be tackler/pass rusher as he would catch a touchdown pass. Plays with physicality, and athleticism. A dangerous combination. He has long arms and soft hands to high point and pluck, and should be a nightmare match-up in the red zone for his next team. Needs work to tighten up routes, and technique, but he played in a pro style system, and ran the full route tree which should reduce developmental time.

Jan 1, 2014; Tampa, Fl, USA; Iowa Hawkeyes tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz (86) runs with the ball as LSU Tigers linebacker D.J. Welter (31) tackles during the first quarter at Raymond James Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Alternate pick: C.J. Fiedorowicz– Iowa- Fiedorowicz is a large man who moves very well with that mass. Although he’s huge he has a very impressive build and strong core which adds to his athleticism.  Mostly a blocker,  (and a very good one), he does show potential to be a good pass catcher as well. His potential to be an all around TE makes him an intriguing prospect and a good value at 51 overall.
