20. Chicago Swans
Alright, sit down for this one, the Swans are an Australian Rules American Football team. Wow. Their jerseys are very different, with one being white with a red stripe, and the other being yellow with a brown stripe. The home kit wants to move up on the list, but the away one wants to hit the bottom.
This semi-pro football team is only higher than where I want to put them because they go against what’s normal for a cardinal team. Instead of the main color being red, they use a blue-ish purple. Breath of fresh air.

An awesome name, and a nice jersey. A plain light blue shirt with white piping, and a helmet that implements Chicago’s red star. Not too much, but nice nonetheless. One of the nicer roller derby teams in Chicago.
While not flashy, and maybe a little too plain, the subtle Chicago references in the logo and overall logo design make up for it. Another roller derby team hits the top 20.
16. Chicago Force
This women’s tackle football team has nice jerseys that include an awesome stripe up the side of the jersey, similar to what the Jacksonville Jaguars used to wear.
The Stockyarders are a rugby club, with an awesome name. They also have a very nice striped blue, black and white kit that is true to the team’s Chicago roots, while paying tribute to the sports international roots.
