The Chicago Bears open their 2014 preseason tonight against the Philadelphia Eagles at Soldier Field. It may just be the first game, and the starters will probably just play a series or so, but there is still much to look forward to during the game.

Even though a lot of the starting positions are pretty much decided, there are plenty of backup spots up for grabs. There are even a couple of starting spots open as well.

There are also some rookies (as well as veterans) who are fighting for any type of spot on the team.

All battles begin tonight against the Eagles. Most will continue through the end of the month. Offense, defense special teams will all have battles that will keep fans’ interest throughout the preseason.
