14th overall-David Yankey-Stanford- The first thing you notice about Yankey is his size. He’s a very big Guard. Probably has the physical profile of an OT. 6’6″ 315 with 34″ arms and the ability to anchor, and slide make him a premier pass protector. He does have the ability to play tackle so he brings positional versatility with him to the NFL. Also plays with nasty, and is highly competitive.

Alternate pick-Xavier Su’a-Filo-UCLA- Su’a-Filo has scheme versatility to go along with positional versatility. Like Yankey he can play tackle as he played left tackle last season due to injury with UCLA’s starter there, but best projects inside. Probably a left handed athlete. Does not play with the same nasty as Yankey, but is plenty physical to play in a man scheme or the one the Bears employ the zone/stretch.
