Dream targets for the Chicago Bears in free agency: Orlando Brown, OT

Maybe the number one free agent target, at least for Bears fans, is Kansas City Chiefs tackle Orlando Brown Jr. He is by far and away the best pass-protecting offensive tackle on the market this year, and he’s looking to cash in big time.

The Chiefs once traded a first-round pick for Brown, and of course they went on to win another Super Bowl, so it was worth it. Now, the Bears very well could out-bid any team looking to add Brown, and justifiably so.

Giving Fields a concrete left tackle (assuming Jones switches to the right side) should be the top priority of this team going forward. There is no more important position on the Bears, right now, than left tackle.

Brown would help anchor that line and keep Fields on his feet, and he also has a connection with Poles from their time together in Kansas City. Things could be coming together for the Bears to land the year’s best free agent lineman.
