The Chicago Bulls could enlist the San Antonio Spurs in a 3-team trade for Damian Lillard

One of the other teams in headlines recently is the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs could be looking to trade guard Dejounte Murray in the coming weeks, and again, the Blazers would make sense if they were to deal Lillard.

This package is a lot more heft for the Blazers, who would be landing Murray from San Antonio. Portland would also get forward Thaddeus Young from Chicago along with three first-round picks from the Bulls.

Chicago would be depleted of first-round picks for the next five drafts (this year included). But, would Lillard turn them into championship contenders?

For the Spurs, they would be getting Lauri Markkanen in a sign-and-trade this time. Markkanen had been linked to the Spurs in the past, with Gregg Popovich supposedly liking his potential.

To replace Murray, for now, the Spurs would also get young guard Coby White. In Chicago, White doesn’t seem to fit as a true point guard, but maybe Popovich could find his best NBA role.

Lastly, the Bulls would actually net a second-round pick from Portland in this deal just for good measure. Karnisovas wouldn’t be completely bled dry of all draft picks, but would need to do his best work in that second round in the coming years.
