4. Wide receiver

Allen Robinson is under contract through 2020 while Anthony Miller has yet to have a true breakout season. While the Bears will make it their goal to extend Robinson sometime before the 2020 season begins, if Miller doesn’t fulfill his potential in 2020, it could be time to draft his replacement.

While the Bears drafted Darnell Mooney in 2020, he’s still got a long way to go towards fulfilling his potential. Then there’s 2018 seventh-round pick Javon Wims and 2019 fourth-round Riley Ridley, who have untapped potential. If either breakout in 2020, the Bears decision regarding what to do at the wide receiver position gets much easier during the 2021 offseason.

However, if the Bears decide that they want to address the wide receiver position in 2021, the 2021 NFL Draft is expected to feature another strong group of wide receivers, with six potentially being selected in the first round. The Bears will have an opportunity to add some starting-caliber talent that will be a long-term asset for whoever their starting quarterback is for at least the next three seasons.
