Chicago Bears 2020 NFL Draft: Most likely players to drop to pick 43
By Ryan Heckman
Running Back Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin
While I wouldn’t be upset if the Bears took Swift, I would be ecstatic if they took Jonathan Taylor, whom I believe to be the best back in this class.

We’ll get this out of the way quick: Yes, I am aware of the fact that he comes with a lot of usage in college. He’s had plenty of carries. But, his body has held up and, to this point, he hasn’t shown signs of slowing down.
Taylor is the one back in this class that I see having a special, rare gear he can hit once he gets past the first level. He is by far the fastest out of all the top backs in this draft, running a 4.39 at the Combine, and if you combine that with his ability to shed tacklers — boy, you’ve got quite the player.
Again, I see the argument for having Montgomery on the roster. But, if you have two capable running backs, that allows you to use Tarik Cohen more how he’s supposed to be used — special teams and on gadget plays.
Taylor is a future stud in this league, and it will come to fruition sooner rather than later. He is the complete package at running back, and if he’s there at 43, he has to be the pick. Period.
