Chicago Bears: 3 reasons to be optimistic going into Chargers game

The Chicago Bears have been awful based on expectations and there is no other way to put it. With that said, there are a few reasons to be optimistic.

The Chicago Bears are in a bad way right now. They were destroyed by the New Orleans Saints last weekend and the score made it look even closer than it actually was. They only ran the ball seven times even though Mitchell Trubisky was terrible. They were just awful all around. This is almost looking like a nightmare season after they were expected to be one of the great teams in the NFC.

They are starting to get buried in the NFC North standings as the Green Bay Packers have been one of the best teams in the National Football League and the Minnesota Vikings have been good enough. At 3-3, they need to turn it around quick otherwise this season will become an epic failure really quick.

If the Bears do not make the playoffs this year, they will easily be the most disappointing team across the league. Last year they were one of the pleasant surprises and they haven’t been able to recreate any of that this season so far.

With all of that said, there are a couple of reasons to believe in Matt Nagy’s squad. They have lots of talent on both sides of the ball and they just need to do a few things different to be successful. They have to get back to what they were good at last year and run with it. It has a chance to turn into something great and so far it has not been, but there are three good reasons to believe they will:
