Chicago Bears: 4 big names on trade block to avoid
By Ryan Heckman
Jalen Ramsey, Cornerback, Jacksonville Jaguars
A couple of weeks ago, I entertained the idea of the Bears trading for Jalen Ramsey. Since then, I’ve cooled off on the idea. Here’s why.

To begin with, Ramsey has not been healthy. He’s dealt with a back injury for the last couple of weeks, which is nothing to mess around with.
Secondly, ESPN’s Adam Schefter has since reported that the Jaguars are dug in on their stance to not deal Ramsey, despite his adamant demand. According to Schefter, Jacksonville wouldn’t trade Ramsey for five first-round picks.
That is both an astronomical price tag and an absurd stance to take, if you’re the Jaguars. Forget the Bears for a second — if you’re Jacksonville, you take five first-round picks for Ramsey. If you don’t, that’s simply ludicrous.
The price tag is the one and only reason I wouldn’t trade for Ramsey if I’m Pace. The back injury is a little scary, but overall, the team wouldn’t be able to sacrifice that amount of draft capital. Heck, Khalil Mack didn’t even require anything close to five first-rounders.
