Chicago Blackhawks: The Best option for each forward line
Line 1
Line one for the Chicago Blackhawks has featured Jonathan Toews for the last decade-plus. He has been one of the best two-way centers in the world for almost his whole career and has been the top center on this team for all of them. He has had a bunch of great linemates throughout his career, most notably Marian Hossa. He is no longer there so there is more room for guys to try and win the job.

Last season, Patrick Kane saw consistent time on the top line at even strength with Toews for the first time in their careers. Kane is the best player on the team, especially offensively, but he and Toews were separated at 5 on 5 for depth throughout their careers. Now, they might see a second straight season with each other on that top line.
The biggest question comes at left-wing on this line. There are a couple of different candidates to play there and there might be a bunch of guys that see time there this season, but it feels right to have newly acquired Alexander Nylander start the season there. The Hawks are looking to unlock consistent offense from him. He has all of the talents in the world and that is why he was a top ten pick a few summers ago. This would be a great line to start the season and one you can count on to provide some offense every night.
