Chicago Bears: The good, bad, and ugly from Trubisky
Look Away
We all know what this one is going to be. Despite signs of improvement, Trubisky still had one of those moments where he made an inexcusable throw. It came in the third quarter with the Bears up 28-9 and looking to put the game away.
The offense had put together a nice drive to get down to the Redskins’ 6-yard line. On 2nd and 3, after a timeout, the Bears came out with two tight ends lined up on the left and Montgomery in the backfield. Allen Robinson had single coverage on the right and Trubisky predetermined that’s where he would go with the ball.

The play was open, but the problem was Robinson ran a fad while Trubisky threw a back-shoulder pass. The ball didn’t even make it to the end zone, and Josh Norman picked it off, giving the Skins some momentum.
It not only gave the Redskins life but it put a blemish on an otherwise positive night for Mitch. It would have been nice for him (for his confidence especially) to cap off the night with his fourth touchdown, but it wasn’t meant to be.
Overall Mitch played pretty well. The good was very good, and the bad you could live with as he continues to get more comfortable. However, the ugly has to stop happening or this team will be severely limited in terms of what it can do offensively.
