7. Conclusion
The Bears are eager to avenge last year’s week one loss to the Packers in Lambeau Field. After the way the Bears season ended in January, it’s clear that everyone on the Bears are more motivated than ever to prove to the NFL that they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders.
Thursday night is can essentially be considered as the beginning of a Super Bowl run for the Bears. However, the Bears cannot get underestimate the Packers. While Green Bay did undergo significant changes this offseason, the one thing worth noting is the fact that Aaron Rodgers is beginning a revenge tour as well and wants to get the Packers back to being relevant.
If the Bears want to win, then it will be all about executing flawlessly on offense and winning in key situations such as third downs. Then at the same time, the defense will need to shut down the Packers top playmaker in Devante Adams.
The team that plays better in key situations is the one that will ultimately come out on top. Where most are quick to give the Bears a victory, the Bears will need players like Leonard Floyd to step up in order to truly show the Packers that 2018 wasn’t a surprise one-year wonder.
