5. Seattle Seahawks, tier two

Last year at this time, many were thinking the Seattle Seahawks were going to have a top ten draft pick. Instead, Russell Wilson put the team on his back and led Seattle to the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Since the Seahawks were a surprise a year ago, they shouldn’t be overlooked this year. Head Coach Pete Carroll has had a full offseason to build his roster up. Most think that the Seahawks are good due to the presence of Russell Wilson and while this is true, the Seahawks defense is led by Bobby Wagner, one of the best middle linebackers in the NFL today.

During the regular season, the Seahawks may not be in the spotlight like they once were, but when the games begin to count, it’s difficult to count out Seattle out of any game, whether it’s home or away.

Right now, Wilson and Wagner are the faces of the Seahawks, however, the team also has players like Chris Carson and Tyler Lockett that can have an impact. Right now, Seattle seems like a team the Bears could see in the Wild Card or Divisional round of the playoffs.

The bottom line with the Seahawks is to never count them out. This one team that actually could surprise the NFL this year and end up winning their division. It may be all about Russell Wilson, but the Seahawks definitely pose a threat to the Bears.
