The Chicago Bulls are apparently willing to part with some key players all of the sudden. Could they help the Los Angeles Lakers land Anthony Davis?
Over the course of the last 24 hours, the NBA rumor mill has been heating up in a big way. Sure, the same names and teams continue to be plastered all over the web in regards to the ongoing idea that one particular superstar will be on the move. What may surprise you, however, is that the Chicago Bulls have been making headlines as well.
First things first. The New Orleans Pelicans continue to be involved in discussions revolving around big man Anthony Davis, who has one year left on his contract. He is going to leave New Orleans whether it’s via trade or free agency next year, and the Pelicans would rather get something for him now, I’m certain.
Obviously, the most notable team involved in those rumors has been the Los Angeles Lakers. Yes, LeBron James teaming up with Davis is a scary thought. That’s why the haul better be good for New Orleans. But, the two teams may need a third organization to get involved in order to get the deal done.
Enter: The Chicago Bulls.
Wednesday, Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic enlightened us all with some intriguing thoughts. According to Mayberry, there is “growing belief around the league” that the Bulls are more than ready to trade just about anybody.
So, that means Zach LaVine, Otto Porter, Kris Dunn, and Chandler Hutchison, among others, could all be up for grabs via trade. Now, how would the Bulls fit into a three-team deal where Davis ends up in Los Angeles?
Because I am a little crazy, but even more curious, I took a stab at three potential deals.
