By now, you should have heard of the high-flying Ja Morant out of Murray State. If not, go ahead and search around YouTube or Twitter a bit and prepare to see your jaw hit the floor. This kid is one of the most electrifying players in all of college basketball, and throws it down like a 6-foot-6 wing when he sees some space.
Since the start of the season, Morant has risen drastically across big boards everywhere. There really isn’t a huge weakness in his game, but some will point to the lack of serious competition he faces playing for Murray State. If I had to point out one big cause for concern, it’s his 5.1 turnovers per game. He can be reckless at times, but then again, he’s the one true focal point for the team.
Aside from Zion Williamson, Morant should be the clear-cut favorite for Bulls fans everywhere. If Chicago wants to solve their point guard problem for the next several years, Morant is as good as it gets. He’s the absolute top-dog in this year’s point guard class.
