Wide Receiver Albert Wilson

Once upon a time, Bears fans everywhere headed into the 2018 free agency period with a wish list. That wish list included several wide receivers. Atop the list was, of course, Allen Robinson, whom Ryan Pace secured early on during Day 1.

One of the guys whom many fans wanted to see in a Bears uniform on top of Robinson was former Kansas City Chiefs wideout Albert Wilson.

Wilson has been sneaky-good over his young career. With the Chiefs, he was one of the best receivers in all of football when it came to catch percentage. In fact, he led the Chiefs last season in such statistic (75 percent), even over Tyreek Hill, per Pro Football Focus.

Ultimately, the Bears went the route of Taylor Gabriel (which is working out very well, I might add) and Wilson wound up in Miami.

Thus far, Miami has been using Wilson as somewhat of a catalyst for their offense. He has been lined up all over the place. If you haven’t followed Miami at all this season, you might be shocked to know that he has actually thrown for a touchdown on top of his two receiving touchdowns.

Wilson has rushed five times this season as well, and has also caught some of those quick shovel-passes that almost look like a pitch, which to some of us could look like a run play. He has been used all over the field. There is nothing off-limits with Wilson.

For the Dolphins, who do have a variety of offensive weapons, it’s all about Wilson. This offense is sparked when Wilson is used creatively and takes advantage of the defense on any given play.
