Chicago Bears restricted free agent Cameron Meredith may have let some pertinent information slip via Twitter on Monday.

Ryan Pace has had one of the more impressive free agency periods in recent Chicago Bears memory. He has already addressed the major need at wide receiver by bringing in Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel, but is another major move at the position about to take place?

Monday, restricted free agent Cameron Meredith took to Twitter about his next potential move. It’s unclear what he meant by the following, but what is curious about the tweet is that it no longer exists. Meredith has since deleted it, meaning he may have regretted putting such information out for the world to see.

Meredith is coming off a torn ACL, but the Bears have shown him consistent loyalty after he worked his way up from the practice squad over the years. Toward the end of the 2016 season, Meredith came on strong and was the focal point of the aerial attack in most outings.

Just in case anybody forgot, the kid can play.

It is no surprise if Meredith is indeed on his way to visit other teams. The 25-year-old boasts everything needed to be a successful receiver in the NFL. At 6’3”, Meredith would give the Bears another big target opposite of Robinson and if the two of them stayed healthy, Mitchell Trubisky would be in for one heck of a year.

Whatever reason it was that led Meredith to take the tweet down must be fairly telling. Regardless, the real surprise will be if another team makes an offer and the Bears refuse to match it. Meredith has been a fan favorite and is well-known to be a fantastic teammate. With Chicago in the midst of a youth movement and an exciting new playbook on offense, Meredith fits the bill perfectly.
