Chicago Bears 2018 NFL Draft targets to watch: Clemson vs. Louisville
Deon Cain (Wide Receiver), Clemson
Deon Cain is one of the top wide receivers in the country. The top returning wideout for the Tigers, Cain is Clemson Quarterback Kelly Bryant‘s top target and biggest threat. With a young quarterback, Cain is the experienced veteran that could lead the Tigers to a repeat.
If Louisville cornerback Jaire Alexander doesn’t play, Cain will need to take advantage of the less-skilled Cardinals secondary. Even if Alexander plays on a hurt knee, Cain will need to use his quickness to get past Alexander downfield.
As one of many skilled Clemson wide outs, Cains impact may not be as crucial to the outcome of the game. However, if he can make impact plays early, the Tigers will look to pull away and blow out the Cardinals. Deon Cain will need to show up on Saturday night, and any big impact is a huge plus for Clemson.
As before mentioned, the Bears wide receiving core is very questionable. Cain could be the star play maker that make sure the Bears an offensive threat- as a quick impact player, Cain surely fits the Bears need at wide receiver. Deon Cain’s availability might not be an issue for the Bears, as he expects to go in the mid first round.

The Bears will be drafting for need in next year’s draft, so it could come down to which is the bigger position of need. The Bears would be wise to give Mitchell Trubisky a reliable target for the future, and Cain looks to be a good fit. If Cain thrives as the top target for the Tigers this season, his upside and promise could drive the Bears to draft him.
